IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION: IJKA Does not support the book KATA KYOHAN which was made by self-graded 8th Dan's Mr. Kousaku Yokota and Mr. Jan Knobel.
As you may well be aware they head their own group called WJKA, which is known worldwide for its terrible karate standard (if you check youtube you will find Yokota & Knobel's kata... Yokota has clearly learned Seiryu from my video and has turned the kata into a 90 year old's chicken dance. Please compare the two, one is a fighting kata, the other is a lame looking 'floppy'). IF YOU CAN'T SEE THE WHAT IS REAL KARATE & WHAT IS BS HERE, YOU ARE BLIND... I am not talking athletics here, but the form for application. From beginning to end is not how Asai Sensei taught nor applied this kata. All haito strikes are wrong and the final technique haito uchi (haito hasami uchi) is like two nukite...

As you know this blog is about my practice of Asai Sensei's karate (Asai-ha Shotokan-ryu); nevertheless, "the official organisation" directing Asai Karate is the INTERNATIONAL JAPAN KARATEDOKAI ASAI-RYU.
