2012 has been a very busy year for me internationally and within New Zealand. Here are the video links to the Karate-Do Seminars I have taught this year (excluding the Christchurch Seminar). 2012 included two long trips to Europe (Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom), one to the other side of Australia, and one to the North Island of New Zealand. To all of my hosts and those who attended my classes - thank you very much! I appreciate the immense amount of positive feedback I've received. A special thanks to my loving wife, family, and students here in New Zealand, and around the world. Please enjoy these 2012 videos and please feel free to make some comments! 2013 will be a very big year for me karate-wise: first South Africa, New Zealand, then Japan. Osu, Andre.

Hello Sensei!
ReplyDeleteAre you coming to Europe in 2013?
Best Regards
Dai Nguyen
Nothing for Europe (2013) is planned as of yet. However, South Africa in late January/early February is all go; and Japan.
ReplyDeleteIt is all about scheduling. I'd love to go everywhere I am invited to instruct; however, my times to travel to teach are limited.
Kindest regards, Andre

ReplyDeleteto finish i have a doubt :
What is the key to peform an sweep from ura mawashi with almost no power?
All the best
Raiuri Ramos
Perfect timing and distancing based on maai and your physical attributes. In all cases, to execute this takedown it is best to apply a hasami (scissors) effect; thereby, making the job of flooring them very easy.
ReplyDeleteIn actuality, when I teach such waza it is mostly to teach this type of principle. The online videos of my courses are deceptive. I prefer a more direct approach without the jodan keriwaza. All the best, OSU! Andre
